I recently had Robert over for dinner. It was so wonderful to reconnect with him and see that he was doing so well. He had finally gotten a job that he really liked, a girlfriend he adored, and was looking for a place to move to. Dianna and I were trying to get him to move back to Lambertville, of coarse. He gave me the tour of the house he lived in here in Lambertville, and shared so many wonderful stories with me about growing up there. I can't even tell you how good it felt to have him around again. I was looking forward to meeting his girlfriend and spending more time together. It looked like he had a wonderful future ahead of him, so it was such a shock to hear that he was so sick so quickly. It breaks my heart that he is gone, I still can't really believe it. I am so grateful to have been able to share our recent time together. It was such a precious gift, and I will hold it and him near and dear to my heart. He always made me laugh, and it lit my heart up to see him laughing. What a laugh he had.
My condolences to his family and all those who loved him.
RIP
