Robert Firth of Hellertown, PA, died on Friday, October 20, 2017, at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, NJ. He was 54.
Born in New York City, Robert grew up in Lambertville. He was a consulting team member and advisor at the Princeton Corporate Center, providing support services for start up businesses in a corporate environment. Earlier, Robert was an independent contractor. He was highly skilled and specialized in the restoration of historic homes. As a young man he worked as a framer for the Hrefna Jonsdottir Gallery in Lambertville. A graduate of South Hunterdon Regional High School, Robert earned his BFA with distinction at Trenton State College (currently The College of New Jersey). He was an avid dog lover and is survived by his canine companions Ben, Blue and Sascha. Robert was an audiophile with a vast knowledge and appreciation for all kinds of music.
Robert is survived by his mother Patricia Firth and her husband Ed Cohen of Lambertville; his sister and brother-in-law Vivien and Christopher Cosner of Solebury and their children Nicole and Daniel; and his treasured companion Amanda Porter and her children Ian and Alison of Hightstown, NJ. He was the son of the late John Firth.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 28, at 2 pm at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, New Jersey 08530 (vhmfh.com). Interment will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lambertville.
