Obituary for Jack Maynes

John F. Maynes, 69, of Pipersville, PA, died on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at his home.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Jack was a longtime resident of Pipersville. Jack was an automobile sales associate with the Fred Beans Dealerships in Doylestown. A lifelong automobile enthusiast, Jack was an avowed car geek with a preference for restored British cars especially for MGs. Jack and his life partner, Karen Kot, treasured their life on their horse farm in Pipersville. There Jack could work on his cars and address all the mechanical and maintenance needs of the farm. Jack had an intuitive knowledge of how things worked and how they can be repaired and maintained. He loved the challenge of figuring things out and solving any problem. He was an avid reader and had a vast knowledge of many subjects. Karen and Jack also shared their love of animals, horses, dogs and a special cat named Mike. Jack was a supporter of Aark Wildlife Rehabilitation and Rescue Center in Chalfont.

A friend to many, Jack made friends quickly and easily and could always find the key to good conversation. He enjoyed meeting an old friend or chatting up a new friend over a drink. He graduated from Archbishop Wood High School for Boys and attended Villanova University. He was a skilled tennis player and enjoyed the Jersey Shore. As a boy he spent summers in Ocean City where he was the Beach Patrol’s Mascot.

Jack was the son of the late Jack and Bernadette McQuillan Maynes. He is survived by his life partner Karen A. Kot; his cousins Anne Marie Pierson of Warminster, PA, Stephen Burke of Warrington, Clare Marie Cosenza of Richboro, and Kathy Baily of Dallas, Tx and their families.

Funeral services will be private. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Memorial donations in Jack’s memory may be made to Aark Wildlife and Rehabilitation Education Center, 1531 Upper Stump Road, Chalfont, PA 18914.
