Obituary for Alice Mae Jones (Jacobus)

Alice Mae Jones of New Hope, Pennsylvania died peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2020 at her home. Born on May 12, 1946 in Hamilton, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Jacobus.

Growing up, Alice was an avid 4H member, showcasing her cow, Daisy Mae, at many competitions. Alice attended Steinert High School in Hamilton graduating in 1965. In 1984, Alice and her husband John started their own company, Advanced Concrete Pumping Service, Inc., where she served as President for 26 years. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, growing orchids in her greenhouse and boating on the Delaware River with her husband and family.

Alice is survived by her husband of 54 years, John D. Jones; her three children and their families Cliff Jones and his wife Mary of Holland, PA and their children Shelby, Zachary, Sarah and Weston; Brian Jones of Torrington, CT and his son Griffin and Griffin’s mother Melissa Jones; her daughter Debbie Kintzel and her husband Chris Hausler of Levittown, PA; and her sister and brother-in-law Florence Ann and Walter Williams of Browns Mills, NJ. She was the mother-in-law of the late Brian Kintzel.

Memorial services will be private.
