Obituary for Warren L Dunlap Jr.
Warren L. Dunlap, Jr., 72, of Whiting, NJ, died on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Crestwood Rehabilitation Center.
Known to family and friends as “Skip”, he was born in Hopewell Township and lived most of his life in the Hopewell-Lambertville area. He owned and operated Skip’s Sunoco in Pennington. After relocating to the Jersey shore in 1999, Skip had a second career as a manager with Parson’s Auto Inspection in Cape May County, eventually retiring in 2012. Skip and Glenda loved being near the water and the ocean and spent their retirement years in Woodbine, Sea Isle City and Florida, before settling in Whiting last year. Skip and Glenda enjoyed golfing and played together daily. He was an avid reader and always cheered for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Eagles. Skip had a great sense of humor and a ready smile.
Skip was a devoted husband and father. He took pride in his family and treasured their time spent together. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Glenda Gaynor Dunlap; his sons Mark Dunlap and his wife Terri of Hamilton and Shawn Dunlap of Ringoes; his mother Abbie Johnson Dunlap of Perkasie; his grandchildren Morgan Force and her husband John of Gainesville PA; Robert Dunlap of Ringoes, Becky Dubeau of Hamilton and Matthew Toudouze of Hamilton; his great-grandchildren Sophia, Liam and Jackson Force of Gainesville; his brother and his wife Timothy and Annie Dunlap of Montgomeryville, PA; his sister and her husband Holly Sue and Ken Bruce of Perkasie; his sisters-in-law Clorina Maher and her husband Tom of Endicott, NY; Janet Naylor of Beach Haven, NJ and his brother-in-law John Gaynor of Flemington, NJ and several nieces and nephews and their families.
Funeral services will be private.
