Obituary for Geraldine K Anderson (Kilmer)
Geraldine K. Anderson, 98, of Lambertville, NJ, died on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the Hunterdon Care Center, Flemington, NJ.
Born in Lambertville, Geraldine was a lifelong Lambertville resident. She worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for Lambertville Ceramics, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the West Amwell Wonders and was a parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Church. During World War 2, Geraldine was a Civil Defense volunteer, serving as a plane spotter. She loved to travel and was an avid reader. A devoted mother and grandmother, Geraldine loved spending time with her family. She took pride in her family, her church and her community.
The daughter of the late Theodore P. and Anna Wolverton Kilmer, Geraldine is survived by her sons and their wives Robert W. and Kim Anderson of Doylestown, PA and Richard R. and Jodi Anderson of New Milford, PA. She was the step-mother of William Anderson (wife Mary) of Greenville, TN; the grandmother of Jason Anderson, Rachel Anderson Schoolfield (husband Chris), Abigail Anderson, David Anderson and Shelly Regan and the late Brian Anderson; the step-grandmother of Mary Lewis (Kurt) and Kathryn Barnes (Dan) of Greeneville, TN and the late William Anderson; the great-grandmother of Seth Anderson, Addison Schoolfield and Charlotte Schoolfield and the dear friend of Joe Crosswicks of Lambertville.
The funeral mass will be offered on Saturday, July 6, at 10:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 44 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
There will be calling hours at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York St., Lambertville, NJ 08530 (vhmfh.com) on Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm and on Saturday morning from 9 am until departure for church.
