Obituary for Danny Holcombe Hoagland
Danny Holcombe Hoagland, 60, of West Amwell, New Jersey, died at his home on Saturday, March 30, 2019.
Born in Doylestown, PA, Danny grew up in West Amwell. He graduated from South Hunterdon Regional High School and went on to study photography at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. His love of the sea led him to the City of Annapolis where he made his home for many years. He worked as a butcher and was a chef at the Annapolis Yatch Club from 1998 through 2001. Danny continued to practice his photography. He returned to West Amwell several years ago. Danny loved the ocean and nature in general. He was a gifted gardener. He was devoted to his family and continued his family’s tradition of volunteer community service by assisting at the West Amwell Fire Company Auxiliary.
Danny was the beloved son of Mary Lucille Holcombe Hoagland of West Amwell and the late Donald Hoagland. He is also survived by his sisters Kathy Schaefer of Lansdale, PA and Holly Hoagland of Plumsteadville, PA; his twin brother and his wife Randy M. Hoagland, Sr. and Lolly Hoagland of Lambertville; his aunt Julia Kerr of West Amwell and several nieces and nephews and their families.
Funeral services will be private.
