Obituary for Harry Francis Cannon

Harry Francis Cannon
Harry Francis Cannon passed away peacefully on April 7, 2018 at the age of 75.

He lived half his life in NYC, two blocks from his long-time employer, CBC News. In his heart, he was an independent filmmaker, starting his career making commercials for local and global clients, including UNICEF. He spent the majority of his career at CBS. Over the years editing for CBS, he earned many awards, including a Peabody and an Emmy.

He had a huge heart- always offering to help friends in need. Fatherhood was something he cherished and he spent as much time as he could with his son.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Sean and Traimy Cannon, his grandchildren Zurie Xue-Yi and Cai Jacob Cannon; his stepchildren: Michael, Holly and Chris Victor and his ex-wife, Sharon Victor.

Harry, you were a free spirit, full of love and knowledge. You were a master storyteller, hilarious and always made me think. See you in my dreams Pop.

Private services with military honors were held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
