Obituary for William "Bill" Rein

William Joseph Rein of Lambertville, NJ, passed away at his home on Monday, November 27, 2017. He was a longtime Hunterdon County resident.

Bill was born in Liberty Corner, NJ on January 30, 1958, the son of Margaret and Elmer Rein. Bill is remembered as a loving brother and great friend. He had three beautiful yellow labs who he loved dearly. Bill was an outdoor enthusiast and spent most of his time hunting and fishing.

Until recently, Bill enjoyed a long career with Team Toyota of Princeton. Bill worked with a wonderful group of people at Team Toyota, where he had many friends. He also had many close friends and customers with the New Jersey State Police. Bill had a great time sponsoring tournaments and golfing with his Trooper friends. As a young man, Bill served honorably in the United States Army.

Bill is survived by his brothers David Rein and his wife Pam, Peter Rein and Michael Rein; a niece Margaret Rein and a nephew Matthew Rein.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at 4 pm at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 (vhmfh.com).

There will be calling hours at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2 pm until the start of services.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the New Jersey State Police Memorial Association, PO Box 1683, Bellmawr, New Jersey 08031.
