Fernando Marlon Tenesaca Zuna of Lahaska, PA, died suddenly on Thursday, September 22, 2016. He was 31.
Born in Cuenca, Ecuador, Fernando first came to the United States when he was 8 years old. He returned to Ecuador to complete his high school education and to serve in the Army of Ecuador where he rose to the rank of reserve second lieutenant.
Following his military service, Fernando went to Argentina to study fashion design and marketing. With his love of beauty, Fernando quickly excelled in his craft. He was constantly working at his portfolio, creating new designs and refining those he had previously sketched. At the time of his passing, Fernando was excitedly looking forward to launching his professional design career. This October he was to join the design team at Flemington Fur.
Fernando was a student of languages and was fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French and Italian. He was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church where he was preparing to be a lector for Sunday mass.
Fernando was a kind and gentle man, quick witted and fun loving. He enjoyed music and singing. He was dedicated to his family and was a constant source of joy and pride. Fernando his survived by his loving parents, his mother and step-father Norma Zuna and Luis Campos of Lahaska; his father and step-mother Marlo and Nancy Tenesaca of Danbury, CT. He was a beloved big brother to Christopher and Katlyn Campos and Deryck, Dennis and Roy Tenesaca.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at 10:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 44 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530. Interment St. Martin of Tours Cemetery, New Hope, PA.
Calling hours at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm and on Thursday morning from 9 am until departure for church.
